NOTE: To get off this list, send email to majordomo@aqua.ccwr.ac.za with the body of the message containing the line: unsubscribe sowacs Dear Dardo: Last summer I conducted a research project where I monitored the soil water content and soil heat temperature at 0 (soil surface) 10, 20, 40, 70 and 110 cm below the soil surface every 5 minutes for several months. Soil temperature was monitored in the open and under citrus tree canopy at the same depths. The main objective of my study was to quantify the effect of soil temperature on capacitance probe readings. I presented part of my results in the last Soil Science Society of America annual meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah (http://www.soils.org/). I am in the process of writing a manuscript about the study; however, we might work out someting together if you are interested.
