Spectrum Technologies has been offering the WatchDog dataloggers for the
past 3 years. The loggers come with an LCD screen that displays current
conditions and external channels that can read up to 3 external sensors.
The loggers can record up to 5000 measurements per channel. Several sensors
are available including a modified Watermark soil moisture sensor. The
logger can also be configured to read a voltage input (0 ñ 2.5 V). It is
powered by a 3V battery that will data collection for 8 months. Data can be
downloaded directly to a PC, a laptop computer or to a WatchDog Data
Shuttle.

The loggers are launched and downloaded with SpecWare software. The
software provides graphical and tabular presentations of the data; daily,
monthly, and annual summaries as well as various degree day and plant
disease reports options. The data can be easily brought into spreadsheet
software programs.
