Management Conference'

	Dear List Members

I'd like to take this opportunity to announce a conference on

'Electromagnetic Techniques for Agricultural Resource Management' -
organized by the Riverina Branch of the Australian Soil Science Society.

The conference will focus on Electromagnetic Technology (EM) for use
in; Irrigation salinity management, Irrigated soil suitability, Channel
leakage, Whole farm planning, Dam siting and leakage, Dryland salinity
management and monitoring and Soil property determination.

The Conference will take place on the 3-5th of July 2001. Abstracts
are currently being called for and will close on the 25th of March.
Earlybird registration is only $225 and closes on the 1st of June.

The conference venue will be at the Yanco Agricultural Institute
located in the Heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area, one of the largest
Irrigation Areas in Australia. A field tour will also be part of the
conference and will visit a number of sites investigating were EM has been
used for irrigation design of rice and other enterprises and also how EM is
being used to assist in the siting of irrigation scheduling equipment. The
tour will also show how EM results are being incorporated into Land and
Water Management Plans .

regarding abstracts or registration please do not hesitate to contact me on
the address given below.
I would also be extremely grateful if you could forward this
