The ideal system would be contained in a lightweight standard gill housing (on a post or that could be hung on a tree branch), and would simply display a running average (since the last reset) for temperature and RH - no need for programming, a laptop to collect/display the data, and all those other things that usually go along with weather monitoring. We have been using the "TH pen," which has adequate accuracy and range for us, but does not calculate an average, and takes more than a one-button approach to prevent it from auto-off (if the period is over 20 minutes). Any suggestions? Please send me a summary of your findings to be included on sowacs. Thanks Bruce]
