ANNOUNCEMENT: www.findasensor.com launched 15 April 2002
The launch of a new website for sensors, instrumentation, dataloggers
and allied equipment.. http://www.findasensor.com
Building on the success of the sowacs.com story, this new site aims to
be the best impartial collection available to help you "find a
sensor".
Sensors are categorised both by type and by application, allowing the
reader to make informed choices on type, model and supplier.
Each sensor type is described in a short editorial text covering the
principle of operation, the advantages and disadvantages relative to
other types.
For suppliers, it is easy to upload both your company info and as many
sample products as there are categories available.
Currently the site content is biased towards meteorological sensors
(this being my area of specialisation), but as I have been loading
data, so I have added categories suited to the products available on
the supplier's websites...
The supplier database can be filtered geographically to see only those
suppliers with distributors in a specific country.
Further site functionality is planned this year to foster C2B contact,
as well as direct contributions to the site content by users.
Suppliers are therefore urged to visit the site now to upload their
info ready to take advantage of this in the future.
