Greetings from China. Here I am learning about the benefits of the Diviner
instrument for soil water measurement. All my previous experience has been
with neutron meters, so I'm a little biased. Never-the-less, the initial
results look very good. The volume of soil being sensed by the Diviner is
rather smaller than the neutron meter but the advantages offered by the
Diviner, in relation to speed of use and transfer of data from logger to
computer, are very impressive. This new tool for better management of
irrigation water is a solid achievement in the application of electronics
to agriculture.
