Ways to measure leaching

Hi everyone

I need to measure how much leaching of nutrients is taking place in a soil
profile. I want to answer questions such as
1. Are the nutrients moving to the bedrock and if so how much and in
response to what factors ?
2. Are these nutrients moving laterally and at what depth?

Has anyone any ideas as to how to measure this leaching process. I would
like information on relatively simple and cost effective methods. Preferably
methods which are in situ and not destructive.
