You should consider Campbell Scientific's CS615 Water Content Reflectometer. It has been widely used with many dataloggers in Australia including Campbell Scientific, DataTaker, Unidata, Monitor Sensors and Environdata. It easily meets all of your criteria and has been extensively used in research applications by various CSIRO divisions. >Within the scope of a research project in irrigation scheduling, we want to >add soil moisture sensors on agrometeorological stations that already >exist. These sensors have to meet the following characteristics: - connected to a data-logger - price less than US$600 - robust enough to stay a long time on the field - can be based on TDR, FD, heat dissipation or something else ... in a few words the perfect sensor!! Is somebody can give me some ideas?
