Dear list members,

As a follow up to Myhre and Shih (1990), I did conduct field experiments on a
bare soil site in semi-arid Tanzania under natural field conditions. I conducted
the field experiments between January and August, 1997. The ground-based thermal
infrared remote sensing of soil water content forms one aspect of my PhD thesis
"Modelling and Measurement of Soil Moisture Content Based on a Remote Sensing
Method for Applications in Semi-Arid Tropics" submitted to the University of
Bonn. I will be glad to share with you the results of my work.

Stay tuned!

[Thanks Baanda - can we expect to see the abstract - or even the entire
thesis in pdf format on the web? Bruce]
