The BSES (Bureau of Sugar Experiment Stations) is looking to quickly a 
12-15 month vacancy for a research officer in Proserpine - Whitsunday's QLD 
Australia. The position requires a degree or higher in Science, 
Agricultural science or environmental science. Desirable attributes would 
include a knowledge of sugarcane, experience in irrigation research or soil 
hydrology. The candidate would be employed on three projects primarily 
involved with measuring crop response to irrigation, water use efficiency 
and the effect of trash retention systems on soil / irrigation properties.
