Graham,
We used the model 100 analog version several years ago. I was impressed with it's ease of use, durability and relative accuracy when compared with the tried and true "feel" method of estimating soil moisture. It's best suited for farmer use. Tad Wenes of Aquaterr (USA 1-800-284-1024) was a lot of help to us. It's been three years sense I've talked with him.
