I am working on runoff generating areas in a field (Bare land). I would like
to measure volumetric soil water content with respect to time. Although TDR
seems to be the best way to measure water content but I have concerns with
infiltration execss mechanism or saturation excess mechanism of runoff. I am
working on an area of one hectare. I want to put TDR on grid basis having a
grid size of 10*10 m. Does anyone has any suggestions about the
identification of runoff generating mechanisms with TDR. I would like to
know about maximum length of cable so that signal will reach machine
accurately. Which method is better for TDR calibration. Any suggestions will
be appreciated.
