Nicole,

If you are going to use weather data to estimate ET using the
Penman-Monteith approach (subject to all of Rick Allen's advice) you may be
interested to know of the AWSET software for use with automatic weather
stations. This will calculate ET for each timestep of the weather data using
resistance factors provided by the user (or standard factors for typical
surfaces). It follows the methods in FAO 56 that Rick recommended to you.

Bye the way, you will probably find that FAO 56 is out of print at the
moment. We have had great difficulty getting copies from FAO.
