From: Mike McClung (dynamax) To: bruce@icfr.unp.ac.za Date: Monday, August 5, 1996 5:29 am Subject: (no subject) Dear Bruce: My name is Mike McClung and I work for Dynamax, Inc.. I was toldI should contact you by Mr. Ward at Batelle, Inc. in Washintonstate. Dynamax is a source for TDR probes, multiplexers and software. Wealso represent Delta T Devices and Analytical Development Company, Ltd.in the United States. We are a primary source for equipment fortranspiration, photosynthesis, porometry and soil moisture equipment. You can see our HomePage at WWW.pernet.net/~dynamax. I would like to have our company linked to the SOWACS site becauseI think that a fair number of your colleagues would be interestedin our new Theta probe. The Theta probe can be linked to almost any datalogger and gives volumetric water content +/- 2%. The Theta uses a 100MHz signaland impedance measurements. The output is 0-1V and is easilyconverted to water content. The probe is also good at the dry end and is not appreciably effected by temp. or salinity (as is the CampbellCS615). I am attempting to attach a .txt file for you also. Please let me know how we can let your discussion group know aboutthe TDR and Theta soil moisture probes. Also, a fair number of your members may be interested in our other products as well. We make sensors for sap flow (Both heat balanceand Granier type for sap velocity), we also have a new system forgetting root hydraulic conductance while the root systems are still in thesoil.
