From: Craig H. Benson (tdr-l) To: tdr-l@listserv.acns.nwu.edu Date: Wednesday, July 31, 1996 2:27 pm Subject: 1502B Lithium Battery Amir We have been plagued with that problem in every 1502B we have. Batteries are supposed to last 7 years, but ours usually last 0.5 to 1 yearin the field. In our field units, I have replaced the lithium batterywith power from the CSI power supply unit on the back of the 1502B. Thecurrent draw is continuous, but is so low that datalogger battery usage is nota problem. This eliminates the problem permanently. The hook up is fairly simple, and your electronics tech canprobably wire it up for you. If you need detailed information, I can have ourtech sketch up the wiring he did, and fax it to you.
