Thanks for the welcome, I have never been to Africa but it sounds
like a great story!

I am an irrigation consultant working in South East Queensland
(Australia), I also distribute Irricad (a computer aided
irrigation design programme).

I am particularly interested in soil moisture monitoring and data
logging in turf, (parks, sports fields, toursim resorts, golf
courses etc)  to improve irrigation management and reduce water
and power consumption. 

I have used tensiometers and the Irrometer Watermark, but have
yet to set up a data logging facility.

I was introduced to your list by Ian McIndoe.
