Summary of TDR related findings in general:
According to Dr Colin Everson of Forestek, CSIR, South Africa
TDR is only suitable for shallow depths as any deep work needs
holes dug which is very intrusive. TDR setup was around R60 000
(US$12 000). This would include the Tectronix 1502B, +
interfaces, multiplexers, probes and a CR10.

According to Jim Bilskie of CSI:
These sensors can be hooked directly to the following CSI
loggers: CR10, CR10X, CR7 and 21X.
The multivibrator circuits are built into each sensor.
They can be mulitplexed directly to an AM416 or other mux.
The price is US$214.50 plus 0.75/ft of cable. (R998 each from
Visiocon (the South African agent).)
