Sami Gayle is a popular American actress. She is known for her role as Nicki Reagan-Boyle on the CBS TV show, Blue Bloods. She is also a former child star.
Gayle was born on January 22, 1996, in Weston, Florida. Her father was an attorney, while her mother worked as a businesswoman. Sami has not graduated from any school, as she has been home-schooled her entire life because of her work as a child actress. But even though she was mostly taught at home, Gayle has followed the Advanced Placement curriculum in all of her subject. She considers education very important.
She is an excellent debater and has consistently landed a top spot on the Public Forum Debate. When she was younger, Gayle received two bids to take part in the Tournament of Champions, which includes some great debaters her age. The Tournament of Champions is a debating tournament held every April in the University of Kentucky.
Gayle began her acting career as a child star. Before working on television, she first starred in many theater productions. Gayle first came to prominence in the theater world when she played the role of Baby June in the Broadway production of Gypsy, getting to work alongside veteran theater actress, Patti LuPone. Later on, Gayle starred in the Atlantic Theater Company’s production of Oohrah!, marking her first theater work outside of Broadway. Her acting in this particular play has been met with plenty of rave reviews.
Soon, Gayle landed a part on the play Family Week, helmed by Academy Award-winning director, Jonathan Demme, and produced by the MCC Theater. She made a comeback on Broadway in 2007 with a major role in How the Grinch Stole Christmas: The Musical.
In 2009, Gayle started her career in television when she won the role of Nicole ‘Nicky’ Reagan-Boyle on the CBS TV series, Blue Bloods. Blue Bloods is a crime drama about a family of cops who are all working in the New York City Police Department. Gayle’s character, Nicki, is the daughter of one of the show’s main characters, Erin Reagan (played by Bridget Moynihan). In the series, she starts off as a junior high school student, then eventually becomes a student at Columbia University by the sixth season. Nicki also aspires to be a cop just like her family. It’s interesting to note that Nicki’s role was played by two actresses: In the pilot episode, she was played by actress Marlene Lawston.
Gayle has made guest appearances on the drama series Royal Pains, and on the long-running soap opera As The World Turns.
In 2011, Gayle made her film debut in the film Detachment, a Tony Kaye film about the American education system. The film stars Academy Award winners Adrien Brody, and Marcia Gay Harden. A year after that, Gayle played the role of Alison Montgomery on the action thriller Stolen. Alison is the kidnapped daughter of the film’s lead character, Will Montgomery (played by Nicolas Cage). In 2013, Gayle lent her voice in the French-Israeli animated film, The Congress.

Earlier this week, magazine Latino Review has reportedly obtained a rumored cast list for the upcoming flick, which shows a whole set of actors who are currently in talks to play roles in the film. Gayle is allegedly set to play Liz Allan, another love interest for Peter Parker. However, this has been deemed as false – Actress Laura Harrier is officially playing Allan.
